The Summer Repertory Theatre at Blackburn College is pleased to announce open auditions for the production of

Murder at Cafe Noir

 

a 1940's era mystery, thriller, comedy, satire based in the dining room of the Cafe Noir,
a seedy supper club on the tropical island of Mustique
Auditions will be held Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22 at Blackburn College's Woodson Hall, which is located near the south entrance of the college campus, at Nicholas Street.  Starting time for auditions is 6:00 pm.
Those auditioning will be given a simple song to sing acappella, meaning without piano or musical accompaniment.  Also, comfortable shoes and clothing should be worn as dance may be taught and required as part of the audition.
There are seven lead adult roles available and adults may be asked to do an ad lib performance in a specific scene and setting of the director's choice.
Children ages 12 and older are encouraged to audition for supporting cast roles.  The cast will total 20 to 25 adults and children.
A personal calendar of your availability for rehearsals should be brought to the audition.
Performances will be held August 1,2, 3, 4 at Blackburn College Demuzio Student Center.
